New director, new name, new and old returning teachers!! The director and several teachers are transplants from Ashford Academy that had to close down as the owner was getting up in years and decided it was time to exit the childcare business.

We followed the director and my sons teacher to this school knowing he would be well cared for. Mrs. Azar continues to teach my son all the important academic things but she also manages to teach him things emotionally which is why we put him in Montessori in the first place.

I was heartbroken when Ashford shut down but I am ecstatic that they were able to reopen as a new school (somewhat remodeled) in a new location. Now my son can continue his education uninterrupted.

I have personally worked here and I wish I never left. Mrs. Shokoohi loves the children that walk through every morning & she is there for them with open arms. I enjoyed working for her and her husband! If you want a school ran by someone that will love your child as much as you love them, bring them to International Academy. While working at this school, I learned so much: different techniques on how to handle a classroom, handling children, and many other things. 10/10 recommend putting your child here.

This school is amazing! Mrs. Azar and Mrs. Bazelle truly took my son to a level of education and academic success that I didn't anticipate him experiencing so early on. By the end of the school year my son was reading, doing math equations, comfortable with public speaking, more knowledgable about science and history, and more socially competent. Mrs. Shookooi is the owner of the school and she is there everyday, running the school with care. I never had a negative experience with any teacher at this school. Daily I witnessed the genuine care and support coming from all of the educators on staff. Every morning Mrs. Shookooi was front and center waiting to greet each child and parent with a smile. At the beginning of the year, I was somewhat concerned with the non-traditional educational format. I shared my concerns and Mrs. Shookooi was more than happy to discuss the reason behind the school policies. I came to my senses and realized that through it all, my son was learning and thriving. This is the best kept secret in Douglasville. Please send your children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and neighbors to this school! You will be investing in a lifetime of learning for your child.
