You may not believe these are two photos of the same couch. We can barely believe it ourselves, and we're thrilled with the new look!
This couch was in my husband's family since the 1970s and he's always enjoyed its fit for his tall frame -- but he never liked the fabric. Over the years, it got ripped by cat claws and the cushions began to sag, so we finally decided to do something about it.
Happily, we went to Sarah's Home Design. The team at Sarah's worked with us to fit our style with the right fabrics, colors and details. They were helpful and honest about the process at every step.
During the reconstruction process, the upholster found some issues. They called us and we met with him to discuss options. My husband, who is a frugal man, was so impressed with the upholsterer's craftsmanship and knowledge that he quickly gave the green light for more extensive work to make the couch the best it could be.
Now we have a signature piece of furniture that's customized, looks magnificent, feels wonderful to sit on, and will last another 45+ years at least!
Thank you Sarah and Rhonda for making my home feel so comfortable and inviting. The way you were able to incorporate all of the pieces that I’ve collected throughout the years is exactly what I was looking for.
Rhonda and Sarah have literally transformed our
house into a warm inviting space that feels exactly like us. They are fabulous at incorporating your existing pieces as well as bringing in fresh new items that brings everything together!
I'm sitting here this evening in the most beautiful and comfortable family room I've had in 35 years of home ownership. Several months ago, after buying a few new pieces of furniture, I realized that in order to pull the room together - to make it really reflect who we are as a family - I needed to ask for help. I'd read reviews about Sarah's Home and nervously went into the shop. I knew I didn't want to make the same design mistakes I'd made time and time again but asking a stranger for help - a designer no less - was a bit intimidating. After that meeting, Sarah and Rhonda came to my home. We talked about the kinds of things I liked. They asked me to trust them. I did. Over the next few weeks they presented me with carefully chosen ideas. My intimidation vanished. Using my new upholstered pieces, painting my tables, adding new consoles, lighting, artwork and other pieces we had a plan. Today, they brought everything to our home and asked me to step out while they redesigned my room. When it was time for the reveal, even I was surprised - nearly in tears - at the transformation. This is the feeling I've been trying to create in my home for decades. Thank you Sarah and Rhonda. I can hardly wait for our next project!
