Halcyon is a busy area as always... but we got a seat at Cherry Street with no wait at 3 pm on a Saturday. The food was great. I had the Tanners tenders and my wife had a jerk chicken BLT. She loved the potato scoops instead of fries and my asparagus was fresh and cooked to perfection. The tenders are gigantic and filling. The sour beer that my wife had was great and my wheat beer was delicious; They have an extensive beer list to choose from as well as other options from the bar. The wait staff was attentive and checked on us frequently. My only issue was the mens restroom had an awful smell and was unpleasant spending any amount of time in. Other than that issue we had a nice time at Cherry Street at Halcyon.
We love these work, play eat complexes. Our favorite is cherry street brewpub. The beers are always great, my kids can play in the courtyard. The food is always amazing. The best kids meals around too. A win win.
Popped in for supper after seeing a movie and had an overall good experience at Cherry Brewing. They have a open floor plan for inside dining, patio seating and of course seating at the bar. Our inside dining was a pleasant experience; however, I could see this being a fairly noisy restaurant if at capacity. It was a quiet Sunday evening for us.
We started with wine - yes we are those people that order wine at a brewery - and was pleased at the selection offered. The Seghesio Zinfandel was priced nicely at $10 a glass. We started with ‘Life’s a Peach’ which is a unique twist on a Caprese Salad. The flavors worked very well together and should be tried if you’re a fan of the caprese. California’s Calling Smash burger was our main entree but be ready it’s a mouth full of goodness - 2 beef patties, Brie, fried egg, sweet potato strings with a chipotle aioli. For those looking for a slightly healthier option can substitute the beef for grilled chicken or an impossible burger and they also off GF buns. We were extremely satisfied with the overall meal. Our only complaint would be that we ordered the appetizer and felt a bit rushed through it as the meal showed up to the table a minute or so after the appetizer. Our waitress was younger and we only said we’d like to start with…rather than saying don’t put in the food order until the appetizer comes out. Feels like that should be part of the normal training. But again overall, we enjoyed our experience and would definitely visit again.
Walked in for dinner with a party of five, and was a bit disappointed to hear they didn’t take parties for groups over for people…also told wait time was 1.5 to 2 hours. One of us walked back to the host stand to ask again and see it they will make an exception, my initial thought was they are getting a bad review, but they recover well and offer to give us a table and add an additional chit if we did not mind being a little crowded, we obviously didn’t care, abs accepted. Wait time was actually about 30 min, and food and service was incredible. Thank you for being accommodating to us ladies who didn’t plan and just showed up expecting to be seated!
