$16 is a bit on the pricey for shrimps. The parking fee makes it even more so. BUT! Even as a person who has little tolerance to fishy food, this was delicious!
We had the scampi and the spicy. Both were good! Their hot sauce is supposed to be award winning, so you might want to try it!
Shrimp is fresh.
However, if you are from south part of USA, like LA, TX. This is just one kind of the Louisiana Cajun taste. Garlic and butter for the No#1 Scampi. Tobasco/Cholula Hot Sauce taste for the No#2 Hot and spicy.
Good choice for u after the visit to the Polynesian culture center. Not worth to come just for the shrimp.
This shrimp truck is located right off the highway, not far from Turtle Bay. I ordered the scampi with a side of the hot sauce (the lady working recommended this). It was amazing by itself and I LOVED the hot sauce. The shrimp still has shells but they peeled super easy and it was worth the peeling effort. It also comes with a side of rice that was delicious, especially with that hot sauce. They also had a shaded area to eat. I took a picture but after I already dug in (I couldn't wait).
We had the shrimp scampi and the hot and spicy shrimp. Both were excellent. I recommend having both of them at the same time. The two flavors go well. The garlic sauce on the rice really made a difference for me.
