WeiChin Chen, M.D. Orthopedic Surgeon

Dr Chen was hired by my workers comp insurance company to do a evaluation on my knee injury. This was the 1st time that I experienced a I.M.E that was so informative on the procedure we were going to do and why. He made me feel very comfortable with his questions and examination. I gave him 5 stars because he was very top notch professional. My husband and I were very impressed!!

I've seen 3 Orthopedic surgeon before I saw Dr. Chen. Everyone of them kept telling me that I'm fine and my muscle were stiff and maybe with a little bit of physical therapy I can loosen then up which should help relieve some of the discomfort and pain that I was feeling. Nothing seemed to help. I was searching for a new Orthopedic surgeon and came across Dr. Chen. I was very skeptical at first because I've been through this before but when Dr. Chen walked into the room and just the way he spoke, you could tell he was very knowledgeable and I felt at ease. He asked me a few simple basic questions nothing really detailed about my pain/injury. Immediately he started pointing at my shoulder asking me does it hurt here, does it hurt there, lifting my arm up asking if it hurts when I do this, pressing on my biceps ... Dr. Chen diagnosed me and knew exactly what was going on with my pain and discomfort within 10 minutes of seeing me. The type of surgery I had was arthroscopic shoulder surgery and biceps tendinitis.
Dr Chen earned my trust and when I needed surgery again, I went back to see him without any hesitation because I knew I was in good hands! He explains everything clearly and in detail easy to understand and if you don't just ask him and he will explain it in a way you do understand. Dr Chen is ver efficient, a true professional who cares for his patients!!!

I had a full shoulder surgery done by Dr. Wei Chin Chen. I have only Praise for his skill and professionalism, he truly cares for his patients, for example he came over an hour early for my surgery, the attending nurse said how rare that a surgeon comes in this early. He made sure I was ok and that Queens marked the correct shoulder for the operation. The operation was over 2 hours long and he took 3 pages of pictures of the operation which he explained later to me in detail. Best Doctor Ever !!! His staff is as efficient as he is, and office visits are done in a timely manner.

When other providers were unable to see me in a timely manner, Dr. Chen's office was able to see me within the week. This was especially pleasing seeing how I had broken my shoulder and was told initially by the Emergency Department that there was no fracture. Dr. Chen was very thorough in his exam and assessment of the injury. He was not pushy towards an unnecessary surgical repair, instead opting for conservative measures, which was very appreciated. In my follow up visits, following Dr. Chen's exercise recommendations, my range of motion is improving every day. Dr. Chen's expertise in the management of shoulder injuries is evident.

From day 1 Dr. Chen was an absolute professional. The surgery and aftercare were explained in detail and easy to understand. Each follow up visit was not the usual hassle of trying to park and be seen on time. Every appointment I had I was seen early. The surgery facility was much better than a regular hospital. All the staff were excellent. Dr. Chen took the time to make sure I was totally comfortable with everything. It is refreshing to see a doctor that genuinely cares about his patients. Top notch!!
