“The Route 99 Container store in Kahuku on Oahu's North Shore is literally the most amazing place! There are so many beautiful embroidered hats, shirts, tank tops, sweatshirts for sale at good prices along with crafts, paintings from local artists, and many unique vendor pieces that you can easily find that special Hawaii gift for you and your friends and family. The owners are friendly and helpful plus the customer service is top notch. Take your photo in front of the beautiful rainbow turtle mural and with the colorful blocks that spell out Aloha! I am proud to be one of the artists that they show in the shop and hope you will stop by to visit. Make sure to add it to your must see places.”

“The Best Bowling Shop Ever! Super friendly and extremely knowledgeable and honest owners. They truly make you feel like family. They helped plug and drill my husband's old ball, it was ready within 3 days! Totally reasonable cost too. The owner even helped fine tune the thumb release angle and gave my husband some excellent bowling suggestions. These kind of customer oriented shops are so hard to find nowadays, truly a jewel in the heart of Wahiawa. If you have any bowling needs, new ball, reuse old ball, repair a cracked ball, plug, drill... you owe it to yourself to check out this shop. You will not be sorry. Call for hours as they vary. Small parking lot in back of the shop or street parking. Definitely worth a drive no matter where you live on Oahu.”

“Budget Blinds had a great variety of blinds to choose from compared to 2 other companies that I got estimates from. I'm very pleased with the quality of the blinds/shades and the pattern that I choose. Also working with the owner was even better because he addressed my questions with great skill, which made me feel comfortable with my decision. The installation went smoothly and was completed in a timely fashion. Well worth getting my shades that are covering the patio doors from Budget Blinds!”

“I normally don’t opt for chicken but this place has the best chicken I’ve ever tasted! It’s moist and flavorful and comes with a delicious sauce I wish they sold in a bottle. Even the mac salad (which I don’t usually care for) was good. We also tried the spicy garlic shrimp which was delicious. After 7 days exploring the island, our group of 7 came back on our last day to get another taste of the Huli Huli chicken.”

“Absolutely love that this is here. I will say, it's very annoying that they're out of most of the paint colors... However, it's still a fun, affordable activity for adults or kids. I've been a few times now (pick & paint) and it's usually pretty chill, the employees are super friendly, and the ceramics are priced fairly and really cute. Will definitely keep going, REALLLLLLY hope they stock up on paint though or I might buy my own to take ❤️”

“Staying in Waikiki Honolulu for 2 weeks and needed snorkelling gear for myself and my husband. It makes more sense to buy and be able to re use the gear then go for a trip and rent them each time. Based on the online ratings, we drove out to Westside Dive and Tackle. Tony gave us a warm welcome and was incredibly knowledgable! We were overwhelmed with choice and colours for kit, but Tony was able to match the gear to suit our amateur snorkel/ diving needs. He was also very experienced with spear fishing therefore anyone requiring gear for that, free diving or scuba diving they have an array of stock. They even have these stunning and light carbon fibre and fibre glass fins for the pros! We really wanted them… but seeing as we only snorkel twice a year we couldn’t justify the big investment.”

“This was such a cool little place! We were on our way back driving from The Dole Plantation (aka tourist trap) and stumbled upon a sign leading to this store. As we were looking around, Reba approached us and asked if we wanted a tour of the coffee and chocolate estate. We saw staff sorting beans and washing beans, the holding containers, press containers, etc. Not knowing what we were going to see, it was very authentic and Reba told us everything there is to know of the coffee and chocolate process and history. This was the real deal. We were even offered various samples of coffees and chocolate! This is definitely a must see! Reba even recommended a few local places to see and eat and they were delicious! I'm so glad we stopped. You will find lots of souvenirs, coffee, chocolate, novelty items and more. There are also other locally owned and operated shops in that same area. They do have shaved ice here and I hear it is the best around. We didn't have any only because we had coffee and chocolate samples from our tour. Shop local!”
