Short gig for pallet prepping for shipping by an LTL carrier - Competent, reliable, hassle free, reasonable price - are how I would describe Travis' performance. 5 stars
Travis (and his team) is a knight in shining armor for anyone looking to move - near or far! We are moving from Boise to Colorado. He was punctual, he was efficient, and he was honest. Within 10 mins of meeting him and seeing how quickly and effectively he got to work I knew I’d trust his opinion on anything packing/moving related. Moving is STRESSFUL and Travis did everything he could to take some of the burden off of us. I’m not sure if we will live in Boise again, but I’d highly consider flying him in to move us out of Colorado to our next destination.
Travis and his guys are friendly, professional, and a great value. They have been my go to company for moving in Canyon County. I’ve used Arrow a couple times now and they never disappoint. They bring a moving truck (if needed) and charge by the hour. I would recommend them to anyone moving who needs consistently hard working and trusted movers.
This is a looong review. :) I use google reviews to make almost all of my consumer location choices, so I like to leave detailed reviews for others as well. The short version is these guys get 10 stars!
We needed professionals to move our upstairs furniture (including an extremely large and heavy bedroom set with metal feet) from storage into our top floor, where we had just had our original 1930s hardwood floor professionally refinished.
I was glad there was such a good moving company in Nampa, so I wouldn't have to pay for travel time from Boise. But I was still a little reluctant to go with these guys since, being newer, they had so few reviews. I decided it wouldn't hurt to add them to my call-around-to-compare-prices list, and I'm very glad I did! I could tell from my first conversation with Travis (the owner) that they are very professional and experienced. I was all ready to go into an explanation about how we had just refinished our hardwood floors and how vital it was that they not be scratched. I was going to ask if they would be willing to wait and let me put felt protectors on each piece of furniture as soon as it was in the front door. But immediately upon my mentioning that we had hardwood floors, Travis ASKED if I had felt protectors and suggested that they set each piece aside on a moving blanket as soon as it was brought in, so that I could put feet protectors on.
They went above and beyond. They even removed the old plastic feet protectors that I didn't even realize were on two of my dressers, so that the felt would sit flat when I put it on. They also brought their own plastic wrapping to secure the dresser drawers, and more than enough thick moving blankets for every piece of furniture. (This is probably standard, but having never used a moving company before, I wasn't sure what to expect).
In hindsight, going with a smaller company was definitely the best choice. My communication was always directly with the owner, and he was there working at the move as well. (In contrast, the company in Boise that I had thought I would use, based on google reviews, was too busy to return my first call. I was unable to answer their call back, but they were too busy to leave a voice message that answered the questions I had asked on Both of my voice messages. All I got was basically a "call us back".)
I was very impressed with the way Travis constantly communicated with his helper before and at every lift and turn (even though Carson was all ready anticipating his instructions). In conversation, Carson referenced their many previous whole-house moves, and Travis mentioned that he had worked many years for three different moving companies before starting this one himself. Their experience definitely showed.
I hope this review gets them more exposure, because they are definitely one of the best, and likely The best, moving company in the Boise area. And, just as importantly in my frugal opinion, their pricing rates were also the best!
If you are looking for a reliable moving company Arrow Moving has my highest recommendation! My first moving experience was fantastic with this company. They helped me move everything out of my old apartment, move everything into my new house, put items away into a storage unit AND hauled away things to the landfill. I really appreciate all of their hard work and patience with me!
