  Lots of ticks! No toilet. Fishing ponds as well as the river. Some areas closed for production seasons.

  in my opinion a place like this is mananged by a lack of management. seeding some grasses is about the only sort of management. there is poison ivy and poison hemlock in several areas of this WMA. But still a great place to have a pheasant hunt, and be sure to purchase your pheasant permit at the Sinclair in New Plymouth. Hunter orange hats can be bought at the liquor store in new plymouth if you forgot yours. Dont forget a pen either :)
  
  Great place to run a dog around--the trails are well maintained. The fishing isn't bad in the river and I have met some young lads that caught a few crappie in the WMA ponds. I havent fished the ponds, or duck hunted in this WMA.

  Great place to take the family to fish or just explore. Make sure you take bug spray and watch for ticks. Not a drive up fishing area. You will need to hike 1/4-1/2 a mile to reach the fishing waters.

  A good wildlife refuge. Lots of room to roam. Hunters I encounter are friendly and courteous but if you want good bird watching go before or after waterfowl season usually before October and after January.
