(February 13, 2023, 4:31 pm)Popeye's is always the best place for a special occasion! We were celebrating Valentine's Day early and decided to share the occasion with our 3 year old. Everything from our appetizer to dessert was amazing, and that includes the service.
We started off with the seafood bruschetta (my favorite appetizer). It was as good as always with the crispy crostini, and the creamy seafood mixture on top. Ceasar salad was fresh and delicious, and my husband loved the potato soup. My husband had the Chilean sea bass. The champagne, lemon cream sauce was perfect for it. Their steaks are my favorite, but decided to try something different. The tenderloin demi glace was a great choice. Sliced beef tenderloin over gouda mashed potatoes, topped with a port wine sauce and shoestring fried onions.
Our daughter enjoyed her hamburger, and loved dessert. We split the snickers cheesecake and blueberry cobbler cheesecake. Both were amazingly decadent.
Overall, 100% would recommend, and look forward to our next visit. -

The place was so vintage and pretty to me and I also loved the cabin like interior and exterior! It was amazing and I would love to go there again!! It perfect place for a date,birthday, or just a night out for dinner!!!

(January 15, 2023, 8:36 pm)Amazing meal, service, and experience! The atmosphere was rustic and modern. We took advantage of the made to order prime rib and sides as well as their stuffed salmon. The Caesar salad was fantastic, fresh bread came with the meal, and our drinks were never to the bottom for more than a minute. Thank you again for a wonderful experience. This restaurant is worth the drive from anywhere! Also, the desert was homemade, delicious, and fresh!

(August 29, 2022, 5:17 pm)Went for my birthday and it was amazing! Kinda far from st. Louis but we'll worth the drive! My family and I had the onion rings and cheese curds for an appetizer. They were both so light and flaky! Definitely recommend! Bartender made a great chocolate martini and I have had them everywhere..this was truly one of the best! I decided to splurge and ordered the fillet. It was cooked and seasoned to perfection... definitely didn't need any steak sauce! I got the sweet potato as a side and it was so big my daughter had to help me eat it! I highly recommend visiting St. Rose Illinois! The owner, Dwight, is very personable and stopped to chat with each table!

(June 20, 2022, 11:00 am)A quick change of plan on Father's Day and I found myself here. How is it that I've lived 30 minutes from Popeyes and never been? This place is fantastic. Bread was warm and crackly. The catfish and salmon we had were eye-closing good. Amazing flavor and flakiness. And the side dishes were just as good as the entrees. The service was knowledgeable and very helpful as we were first timers. We'll definitely be back and I high recommend if you find yourself anywhere near St. Rose, Illinois. Well done to the staff!
