  This is no way any reflection of New Friendship Missionary Baptist Church in Robbins, Illinois. I tried to join a gospel group that was formed of previous members that may or may not belong to Friendship and they were welcoming anyone to join. I was song shamed by basically saying that I wasn't a Saint because I didn't know a particular song. To be exact, one of the the directors asked if anyone knew that particular song and I was the only one who raised my hand. After I raised my hand, the other choir director shouted out to the entire choir, "who doesn't know this song Saints". This individual is a mature woman only by age and was also a director but was sitting in the alto section singing. This was a volunteer situation and I had already prayed to God that everyone gets along well. After that statement, I decided not to return. I also decided not to go and support them singing. Again, This is in no way a reflection of New Friendship.

  Grace and Peace. Whenever I visit Illinois, this is the church I attend. My soul is fed every time I visit. To God be the Glory.
