This place is a real treasure. It's like stepping back in time. Packed floor to ceiling with gems from the past. Newspapers, photos, books, ball cards and relics beyond anything you could imagine.
We had a beautiful conversation with a gentleman named Neil. He shared stories of his past, Chicago and the store. The 10 minutes or so we spent talking are something I will remember forever.
I hope locals appreciate what a magnificent piece of the city this is.

(April 8, 2019, 9:44 pm)I shopped there with my dad from 1972 to 1977 before we moved. I was born and raised in Park Forest and my dad would drive me to the store on weekends. I am still a 1966 Batman collector and purchased so much from your store. I was 10 when we first went there after a Cubs game. I am so sorry it's closed. Can you believe that my dad would drive from Park Forest to your store? That's how great it was and staff never talked down to me even though I was a child! They treated me with respect and took so much time with me. I'll never forget that!

(January 8, 2017, 7:22 pm)What a unique place. You can't find many antique places like this. There's even some parking available in the back. It doesn't pretend to be anything more than it is, which is a local sports antique store.

Yeah, yesterday indeed. Within all those years of travelling I collected many, many non-digital 6 x 6 slides and smaller negatives (several thousand ...). By now, some attacked by fungicid spots, some others by a hell of a lot of scratches or "just" by dust all over.
