I discovered German auto repair a couple of years ago and wish I would have found them sooner. I had always taken my mercedes to the dealer for service but after years of being overcharged and often them not even fixing the problem, I searched for an independent import service shop and found German Auto. This father and son owned repair shop is simply fantastic. I cannot say enough good things about Sam and Sam Jr as well as entire staff. I have had work done here numerous times over the past couple of years and again just a few days ago. Work done to perfection, done same day, and done for less than half of what dealer would charge. My recent work of replacing motor mounts and new complete brake job replacing pads and rotors was done to perfection!!!! Car drives and feels like it's brand new!!!!!! Thanks guys!!!!!

Great mechanic shop for European cars! I serviced my Porsche and Mercedes here, and get better service and of course pricing than at dealers! Thank you Sam for great work. Also, very quick turnaround time!

My 2004 BMW 325xi had overheating issues and was seen by other auto shops before but never able to fixed the problem. German Auto Repair diagnosed the issues quickly and replaced radiator, water pump, and thermostat. My car was ready at end of the day. Svilen and Sam are very helpful, honest, friendly and answered questions that I had. Their prices are very reasonable. My brother and I highly recommend German Auto Repair.

This mechanic shop is highly recommended. They are great with foreign luxury, extremely knowledgeable, great customer service, reliable, very reasonable, most importantly trustworthy and Honest. They know what the other guys don’t and they’re humble about it.

We just moved to Des Plaines and was looking for a reputable car mechanic, specialized in German cars. Found German Auto Repair online and based on the good reviews I decided to contact them for a change of a broken starter on my E90. Easy communication, fast service . Dropped the car Friday late afternoon, was able to pick it up Saturday noon . Would recommend and will come back with my GL450
