  When I needed body work and a new window on my new(ish) Jeep fast, my insurance company recommended Gerber or Abra, but I was wary of chains and wanted to find a family-owned shop instead. Lakeside was rated highly and located near my workplace, but assuming that anywhere with such glowing reviews would be booked, I left a voicemail over the weekend and didn't expect to hear back. Not only did I receive a call first thing the next morning, but Armand told me that he could get my car in right away and immediately won me over with his affable personality. I especially liked that he laughed with me about the circumstances of my accident (ie. backing up into a tree that popped out the back windshield, on a stormy weekend no less) instead of just feigning concern (like the well-meaning but wooden claims agents I had been talking to). I was also impressed by his knowledge of and eagerness to help with the insurance process, like making sure I knew about my carrier's rental coverage with Hertz, who he worked with frequently and conveniently provided pickup/drop off right from his shop. Dropping my car off at Lakeside was a breeze but I didn't have time to go to Hertz before work and when my Uber was running late, Armand offered to have one of his own employees drive me directly to my workplace's front entrance. I was blown away (and so grateful)! The insurance claim was also handled seamlessly and Armand made sure to keep me updated throughout the whole process, always providing detailed information about what he was doing, what it would cost, and how long it would take. I appreciated how thorough Lakeside was, yet still surprisingly quick, especially for a small shop--and even when more damage was discovered and required more extensive work. Of course the repairs turned out great and the car looked like new when it was finished. Armand didn't overlook a single detail, even saving my parking garage permit sticker from the broken windshield and ensuring that the interior was spotless when I picked up the car. Honestly, it looked better than when I've had it detailed (and I have a very hairy dog)! This review is a few months late, but I have and will continue to recommend Lakeside to all my family, friends, and coworkers in the area! Thanks again Lakeside and Armand!

  I would higher recommend Lakeside Auto Rebuiders to anyone without any doubt! Very professional and reliable. The best customer service and reasonable prices. It is by far one of the finest mechanic shops I have been to in over 40 years. From now and on, it becomes My go to auto shop! Thank you for your stoning service!

  Great place. Excellent job on the repair and the service is incredible. I am always a little uncomfortable when I have to take my car in for a repair. These people made me feel like they really wanted to help me. And they did a great job.
