(December 20, 2018, 7:14 pm)Editing my review because of new info of not being sold.The only reason why I gave 4stars because the quality of food has gone down. I am editing because i was informed it wasnt sold. Sorry. I have been coming here since I was a little girl since the 80s and the line would be out the door, down the block, up the street, it's still like that. but I don't know something about the taste is not the same. Still taste good and i encourage all to go there. But now I only come here for bell pepper sandwiches, and the Italian ice still taste the same. which is hecka delicious and they give you a ton of fries.
when I did go they did have amazing Italian beef and hot dogs that are steamed. if they bring the quality back just based on the pepper sandwiches that I get then I'll probably get it back 5 stars but I don't think that's going to happen no time in the future so I'm going to keep it at 4 stars.

(November 12, 2018, 5:23 pm)This place is wonderful. All the talk is certainly backed up by the quality of the food! I had the beef with sweet and hot peppers (dipped) it was excellent. To finish you must, absolutely must get the frozen Italian lemonade, it’s truly one-of-kind!!! Frank the owner is so kind and personable as well. Highly, highly recommend to all Foodies out there, It’s a Chicago Institution
(November 3, 2018, 5:08 pm)It was my first time having Italian beef here. I’ll admit that I was never a fan of Italian beef. I’ve had it from Ricobene’s and even Al’s Italian beef. Never liked it. Until NOW. If I am ever in the area, I am sure to come back to get this with the hot peppers. Make sure to get it dipped. The Italian ice was also delicious! Not far behind my usual go to.
