(January 1, 2020, 10:03 am)Outstanding burgers and fries with the potato skins left on! My daughter really enjoyed her hot dog too. We were in town and discovered The Sandlot after a doctor's appointment shortly before Christmas. Then, we had reason to be in the same neighborhood the very next day, so where did we find ourselves again? You betcha! The Sandlot! During the Holiday Season they offered AMAZingly rich and delicious eggnog shakes and malts along with their usual flavors. Yum, yum, yum! The larger size malt was generous enough to share, and complete with the whipped cream on top. On our first trip I tried the double burger with cheese and bacon but found with their generous portions of fries and the shared malt, I would do just fine with a single patty of the same. I thought prices were surprisingly low for all we purchased except for the malt, which was priced at I believe $5 as a large shake, but to add and mix in the malt powder was $1 more. Still, our Egg Nog malt at The Sandlot was an experience in and of itself, and not to be missed. We would do it again. All of it. Oh, that's right, we did!
(December 16, 2019, 8:43 pm)This place was awesome, fresh food, good service and a clean restaurant. I ordered a hamburger with an order of fries and it was delicious. It was also was my first time so they left a good first impression. Definitely coming back one day!

The style is thin patties, stacked to your liking. Sandlot sauce is a must have, incorporate with fries.
(December 1, 2019, 6:04 pm)One of my favorite burgers in the Chicagoland area - a classic American burger done very well. I thought this is what In-and-Out would taste like but I was pretty disappointed on my first try. Yes I craved the Sandlot all the way out on the West Coast. Soft bun, thin patties, and melted American cheese. I highly recommend the grilled onions! There are a lot of good burgers in Chicago which are the oversized/gourmet style so this is a good change of pace.
