(December 13, 2017, 12:45 pm)CHICAGO PEDIATRICS IS AWESOME. THE TIME THEY TAKE AND THE LOVE THEY SHARE WOULD MAKE ANY PARENT FEEL THEY HAVE THE BEST WITH THEIR CHILD. KATHLEEN IS AMAZING.
(July 18, 2017, 11:56 am)We have the pleasure of having Angie as our son's speech therapist. We love Angie. Zev had a speech therapist for about 5 months before her, and then we got Angie right after he turned 2. At that point he wasn't even saying 10 words, and we weren't sure if he really understood anything we were saying. I remember pretty clearly our second session with Angie where I was tickling Zev. He was clearly enjoying himself and would take my hands to tickle him more. And Angie just told me to wait the next time he wanted to be tickled, and I waited with my hands in tickle position for what seemed to be forever (was probably more like 15 to 20 seconds) and sure enough Zev looks at me and said "tickles". What a moment. Now we are about 8 months later and Zev's 10 word vocabulary is around 200 words. Angie does much more than work with Zev, she works with me. She gives me tips and strategies so I can work with him since I'm the one who spends so much time with him. Not only is she great as far as her knowledge and skill set, but also her caring, professionalism and flexibility. If we've had anything in our schedule come up or a holiday or whatever it is, she's always helped us find a way/time to get each and every session in, that we have never had to miss one.
What really impresses me about Chicago Pediatric Therapy Group is that they meet as a team to talk about their kids. Zev had sensory issues that needed to be worked through to get the most out of his therapy sessions. Angie would mention that when they meet at her office, she'll often bring up Zev to an OT and get their thoughts and there is collaboration within their group to think of an all-around approach to each child (I'm assuming it's not just my child).
I absolutely couldn't be more pleased.
(September 27, 2016, 10:46 am)We have had a wonderful experience working with Angie and Kate from Chicago Pediatric Therapy Group. Our daughter went from not saying anything to talking up a storm. We started with them through early intervention and continued privately. It has been a great experience and we can't thank them enough!
(September 22, 2016, 10:12 am)I love our speech therapist with Chicago Pediatric Therapy Group. She is knowledgeable and friendly. She walked us through each step of the speech process. Our family feels supported and she has provided us with great tools/tips for working with our son. I would highly recommend Chicago Pediatric Therapy Group!
(February 19, 2016, 1:51 pm)We had the pleasure of collaborating with Kate, one of the Speech Language Pathologists, at Chicago Pediatric Therapy Group for two years. Kate worked with a child with special needs who was enrolled in our preschool. She came on a weekly basis to provide therapy in the natural setting. Our interactions with Kate were wonderful. She was warm, knowledgeable and highly professional. She had a positive relationship with her client as well as every other child in the class with whom she interacted. Kate worked well with our teachers and the child's Inclusion Aide. She modeled recommended interventions and strategies that allowed us to more effectively help the child achieve her therapeutic goals in our regular preschool classroom. Kate was a great problem-solver and a pleasure to have in our classroom. We would highly recommend Kate and this clinic.
