EDUCATION
Dr. Komnick graduated from the University of Illinois, Chicago School of Medicine. He continued his medical education as an orthopedic resident at the same institution. This included six months of specialized pediatric training at Shriners Hospital for Children-Chicago. He is obtained Board Certification upon completing his residency and re-certified through 2023.
He is currently on the hospital staff of:

Dr. Komnick grew up in central Illinois and attended the University of Iowa. Dr. Komnick has been married for 25 years and has two adult children. His daughter, a senior at University of Illinois has the goal of attending medical school after graduation. His interests include following all sports, golf, travel and spending time with his family.

I felt as though I finally found a Doctor who understood my medical condition. (May 9, 2023, 8:54 pm)I was referred to this practice by my internist due to severe pain I was experiencing in my leg. When I first phoned, I spoke with Jennifer, who was great in making sure I had an appointment the next day. I saw Dr. Komnick several times. After an MRI, he advised I get an epidural, which has helped significantly. Everyone in the office - - EVERYONE - - Donna, Richard, Jennifer and others who's names I don't recall -- is so helpful, pleasant and kind. Dr. Komnick is very encouraging and knowledgeable and seems genuinely interested in helping me.

(November 21, 2022, 3:55 pm)Twenty five years ago I fractured my right knee slipping on ice. Twenty three years ago I fractured my left knee falling on a driveway. Both fractures were attended to by Dr. Komnick and have been in good condition for many years. I m glad to have his help once again for a knee injury.
