~ 15 years ago I had a L TKA which yielded poor results . Feb. 2017 I stepped off a stair landing which tore all accumulated scar tissue and existing tendons . Sought opinion of six orthopods , all w/ practices dealing with hip / knee arthroplasty . All opioned that I should " live with " said problem until I could no longer deal with this anomaly .
Enter Prof. Levine & established protocol two years post injury . Clinically dx. w/ arthrofibrosis , secondary to joint infection , I underwent " stage " one of having the infection resolved , & " stage " two , a new L TKA in August 2019 .
