Nicr train station. You pay upon exiting. Right now the daily parking fee is $1.25.

    Just a train station

This station was recently upgraded to connect with another freight line. A large curved grade was built to connect the tracks, making the wheels scrape loudly on the track when a train comes by. The interior of the station is brutalist, and there are only two ticketing machines available. There is ample parking, and a vintage restored caboose next to the newly constructed spur. Also, there is a wooden stairway and viewing platform by the newly constructed grade, so that one may watch the freight trains chug slowly by.

Dining options include, a quick-mart across the street from the station. Nightime entertainment includes Freech's bar, also across the street. The "Old Plank Road" walking trail runs underneath the station, providing a comfortable means of foot or bicycle travel to and from the station. The station has no public restroom. but there is ample brush and foliage in the near vicinity of the station that will obscure any attempt at waste excretion if need be.

There is ample room and a long line of sight in both directions on the track, making the station ideal for train spotting. Traffic includes, Metra electric, Amtrak, and freight trains.

This station will provide an enjoyable experience for any visitor.
