(May 12, 2017, 10:30 am)I was making a cross country trip and my '69 Bus died due to an abrasive cam in the distributor chewing up my points. They were able to squeeze me in the same day, replaced my Uh-oh-nine with a SVDA distributor (with petronix), timed the engine, tuned the carb and got me on my way (after hearing some pretty funny classic VW stories). Didn't have a single problem the whole rest of the trip to Massachusetts. Now, if that wasn't enough, Tom was super helpful and my satisfaction really mattered. I'd had an unrelated problem I'd asked him about that we were hoping this new distributor would help resolve (it did) and he called a day (maybe 2? The days started to run together) after service to check up and make sure I was in good shape and the trip was going well. Can't recommend these guys highly enough. They completely fixed a very frustrating situation and helped me complete my trip safely, happily, and in style.
