“December 10th 2018 Dear R.J. Palacio I am giving a summary of the things I like your book Wonder written by R.J. Palacio. I like her writing style because she puts a lot of time and effort into her books. In this book Wonder she builds the story of each character and makes the story believable. From what I read she seems to have a good moral message linked to her story line. I Like how she explain different things that are happening to people and giving us all of the details. For example, she explained why the main character Auggie did not go to school because his parents were protective of him. She explained they would be concerned because of how his face looks and will not fit in with other kids in school. I like how you explained how bullying can affect people. I also like how you sent the message to me of not making fun of people because of their disabilities. Now I am learning to treat people the way I like to be treated she has taught me not to make fun of people and not to bully people. Now I ask people to treat everyone they way they like to be treated. You should be treating other people the way you want to be treated. “These are some things that you should be looking at when you talk. People should be thinking before they talk so they do not get in trouble. I like you because you put a lot of time into your books like Wonder. I like how explains stuff that are happening to people and giving us all of the details. She inspires people to things the right way. I also like how you talked about the bullying not lasting to long. Eventually when I got deeper into the book I realized that the book Wonder wasn’t just about bullying people. It was also about morally acceptable things that should be done right. ““The things we do outlast our mortality”. This quote to me means that I should be doing things right all the time as it defines how I am remembered in the future. I like that at the end of book Wonder she shared that even though there was bullying between Julian and Auggie, Julian realized that it wasn't nice to bully and became friends with Auggie. This to me shows the moral of the story which is to be nice at all times. Sincerely, JJ Oshinowo”

“My mom took me here in the 70s. They let me sit in the front seat of an engine and honk the horn. Nicer guys you're not going to find, anywhere. I remember when a member died in a fire at a VW dealership around the same time, the purple bunting hung for a lung time in front of the station.”
