“The wonderful team at Lakeview, and its sister location in Arlington Heights, Waverly Inn, came to my rescue after an unnecessarily awful residence at an Arlington Heights area eldercare community. The Waverly & Lakeview Care Professionals -- shout out to Dollie, Courtney, Jennifer & Rod -- showered my Mom with compassion and a sincere interest in securing the absolute best placement for her. They proved to me that they BELIEVED in her, and wanted the opportunity to provide her with the quality of living she deserved, and that would help her live a full and productive life. Sadly, the place she previously called home for more than a year gave up on her, and essentially shuttled her to the lowest common denominator of care after a brief hospitalization, with the staff treating me like a nuisance instead of a loving and strong advocate for my Mom. Her treatment at her former assisted living facility nearly broke her spirit.Since moving to Lakeview (as we awaited the opening of Waverly), she has blossomed, and returned to the person she was before her hospitalization. The team at Lakeview has been amazing and has provided me relief after fighting daily with the previously facility to ensure my Mom received even a tenth of the car she deserved. The Care Professionals at Lakeview & Waverly see my Mom as a whole person deserving of love and respect, where the former care facility set zero expectations for her mental, physical and emotional development, and was content to keep her wheelchair bound (even though she is fully ambulatory) because it was easier for the staff. I felt listened to and HEARD by the Care Professionals at Lakeview & Waverly ... it was a refreshing and much-appreciated change. Lakeview & Waverly are beautiful, clean, well appointed, well-staffed, and the Care Professionals do an excellent job keeping the residents engaged, active and social. My Mom loves all the various programs, and especially loves the many musical performers who come to share their talent with the residents. I appreciate the individualized attention my Mom receives, and the proactive status updates the Care Professionals provide me. I will be forever grateful Dollie, Rod, Courtney & Jennifer rescued my Mom.”

“This was probably one of my favorite places to visit to walk and enjoy nature. A couple of years ago they stopped cutting the grass and now there is a bunch of tall grass that blocks your view of the big pond...which is a bummer. This place is so beautiful and to hide a pretty view with 6 foot tall grass makes me sad. Otherwise, still a great track to walk! (P.s. this summer they did start to block off areas for construction so that's another downside for this year)”
