“We used Koten Chapel for our wedding ceremony. This place is beautiful! We really really loved the location, the chapel is very quaint and pretty and the staff are so accomodating in getting you set for your big day. Due to the size of the venue, the ceremony we held seemed very intimate and as though we were really sharing it with all of our attendees. If you are looking for a ceremony location in a non-active chapel, this is an excellent choice!”

“Two kids have come through Ellsworth and a third is there now. This is a great school with smaller class sizes. A Principal and staff that truly care about your kid beyond their grade scores. They are truly helping us grow up well rounded kids ready to move on to the next phase of their life. The only drawback might be the limited amount of space, but this is easily overshadowed by the quality of the teachers and staff there. ”

“If you are a real live intellectual, this is the place for you! I was challenged and engaged every second I was at Shimer College. The place has its problems, but I found I was forced to develop as a scholar again and again by them, and I would not trade my education there for anything. I thought of the school primarily in two ways when I was there. One was "put a bunch of nerds who love to read and argue together and see what they come up with," and I think that really is a pretty good way to give some insight into what goes on there within the scope of a google review. Another was "group therapy for people who read the great books of Western civilization." After spending a few years reading your way through the source materials of Western culture, and becoming strangely intimate with their authors (after spending hours and hours and hours reading their work) while at the same time trying to live in this strange world that has come to follow them, I think you will understand just what I mean there, and agree that group therapy is a good idea for anyone who digs too deeply into such things. Another little phrase that I said to myself while at Shimer was "It is fun to be a big fish in a small pond... Full of other big fish." I think this is something that is important to think about before going. If you want to avoid being challenged and engaged, and are used to being the smartest kid around and can't handle other people being just as smart as you are, and often smarter, this isn't the place for you. If you are pretty secure in your ability to think and reason, and want to find yourself a group of similar weirdos so you can give each other existential crises for four years... Look no further and welcome home. ”

“This is the best place to get steaks, meat. Etc. in the Naperthrille area. I’m very selective about where and what I eat. I’ve never had a bad meal here, and the bread even comes out warm. The daily soups are homemade and actually tastes like it came from mommas kitchen themselves. The owner knows his stuff and is involved which is key. He’s a down to earth guy and we appreciate this establishment being so close to our house.”

“I dined here last night and it was amazing! Food quality was superb. I had the chicken and waffles. Those hand battered tenders topped with scallions and southern syrup were delicious. Everyone else in my group thoroughly enjoyed theirs as well. And such a selection including seasonal specials. Service was just as good. Amazing staff and a Manger that seemed to be everywhere at once guiding the ship. Place was very well kept. I will be back soon and would highly recommend to anyone!”
