(November 11, 2018, 10:57 am)Great hiking around the lake. Some nice short and scenic trails on the east end, campground, and the large hill if you are looking to train for backpacking. Absolutely amazing trail with friends, I would invite my best friend here for some adventure.
(October 20, 2018, 2:44 pm)Nice spot. Went to rent a canoe and go canoeing, very helpful staff. Pretty well kept and nice mix of open and wooded areas.
(September 17, 2018, 7:47 am)Great forest preserve with paths connecting to other major preserves. Miles of beautiful walking, running or biking paths.. Some wooded/shady.
The lake is good for fishing (not swimming) and there are canoes and rowboats available for rent.
Picnic shelters (need to reserve) and lots of picnic tables throughout.
(September 11, 2018, 6:54 pm)Beautiful forest preserve! Always well maintained! The restrooms are glorified porta potties but clean. Always enjoy my visits here for my kids to run on the trails. Lots of runners and cyclists on paths but respectful of walkers usually. Can kayak and boat on the lake for a small fee. Check website for when open.
