My wife and I log approximately 125 to 150 dives yearly on live-aboard boats and trips worldwide. Routine maintenance is essential to maintaining operational safety and failure free diving under heavy use and sometimes challenging diving conditions. I needed a local dive shop I could trust to perform routine inspection and maintenance on my equipment to keep it in top operational condition. I was fortunate to stumble into Undersea Scuba one day in need of that maintenance. Besides being a timely maintenance shop, I have found, over several years, Bruce, Sandy, and Caitlyn to be consistently pleasant, reliable and informed. My equipment is highly personalized and some of it has been purchased from Undersea Scuba. They're adept at assessing your equipment needs, readily helping with informed suggestions and they'll make sure you are fitted appropriately; their prices are competitive too. We have since completed our 'Master Diver Certification' with Bruce and booked multiple diving trips with him worldwide. The trips are consistently effortless and a hoot! His groups are always well cared for. I'd highly recommend a dive vaction with them as Bruce addresses the smallest of details and works proactively to make the trip affordable, enjoyable and effortless.
One of the very best dive shops I've ever come across.
As a scuba neophyte, I was very happy with under seas.
I earned my PADI “open water diver” and “enriched air diver” Certificates with Louis (Louie) Gouletas, who was able to set a nervous guy like me at easy with the whole process (equipment, safety, etc.). Now I truly feel comfortable for my up-and-coming dive trips. I will be going back for “advanced open water” in the summer for sure!
Bruce and Kate really helpful to with walking me through the various price points for gear as well.
Overall a great experience!!
Underseas was very kind and helpful when I reached out to inquire about a last minute PADI Advanced Open Water certification for an upcoming trip. Even though my last few dives (including multiple SSI certifications) were less than a month ago, other local centers told me that I would need to participate in a refresher course either because they didn't 'trust' my SSI credentials or because it was 'required'. One also told me that they wouldn't take me to the quarry because "I wouldn't enjoy it".... Needless to say, Bruce at Underseas came through AND paired me with Johan Raffin who was an excellent instructor for this course... AND I DID enjoy it! The quarry is definitely cold and murky, but it was also a good learning environment. I would highly recommend Underseas for their service quality in the shop (thank you, Bruce!) and the professionalism of my instructor, Johan!
Having just dipped my toe into the scuba waters, I was glad to have the team at Underseas to guide me. They walked me through identifying and selecting the initial gear I'd need and they got me set up with my first Open Water course and dives. Everyone I've met there has been helpful, patient, and enthusiastic.
