  I was at this clubhouse for an anniversary party and it was my first time visiting. I was very impressed at how prepared the staff was to ensure the guests had a great time. The appetizers they spread out were delicious and weren't the "same old thing". I would highly recommend the place for a small party or gathering. It is a somewhat small clubhouse, but it definitely provides all you could ask for to make your event great and memorable.

  Don't know why anyone would give this course a bad review! I played here every summer from 1965-1975 during my teenage years (including when it still had sand greens!), and it was instrumental in helping me develop a love for the game. Yes, it's a small course with flat fairways and rustic conditions, but you can't expect Pebble Beach amenities from a Green Acres environment!! The people are going to move slower, be more friendly, and have more occasion for idle conversation here because this is rural Americana and not the rude Chicago 'burbs. If you want faster play or watered fairways, head up north to Medinah or St. Andrews, or else leave this charming little out-of-the-way course and it's people alone.
