If you're looking for a small town tavern that serves cuisine like a James B starred accredited restaurant, then you've found the place. Whether you're celebrating an anniversary, birthday, or anything special, Art and Alma will welcome you with open arms. This quaint, small tavern will serve you food that can only be prepared by chef that loves what he does. I have been there several times, and though it hasn't always been for a special event, eating there is a special event. Let's start with the prime rib, red meat seasoned and prepared just right to your liking, so tender you can literally cut it with your spoon. The ribs are meaty and again , falling of the bone. Their seafood is fresh and if you like beer batter (wow). Once you place your main order you are given a cold salad bowl and prepare your own salad from their salad bar. You also have soup at the bar. Some good!!! Their desserts vary but if you have a chance, and a little room please try the creme brulee. This is my favorite dessert and I've had it all over the world and this is some of the best ever. The waitstaff is very professional, knowledgeable, and amiable. Cuisine, staff, and ambiance all rate the five stars. If this little ride to Burlington dissuades you, don't let it. It's worth the ride. Country air to build the appetite. You WILL enjoy!!!
Outstanding prime rib special on Wednesday. Ribeyes are huge cuts. Ordered the smallest got and it came on it's own plate it was so big. Salad bar is a great feature too.
We enjoyed our visit to Art & Alma's. We have been here a few times and it is always enjoyable. A quaint out of the way place with lots of history, and the original floor tile and bar. The staff are always friendly and the patrons all seem to enjoy the place as much as we have. I recommend it, give it a try.
Quaint styling but a very fine dining experience. Top end steaks cooked to order. Seafood and fish choices provide plenty of choices. Side dishes are tasty. Desserts are made from scratch on site. We had a very pleasant dinner and our wait person was professional, informative and pleasant. Plenty of on street parking.
