Very beautiful. It's a cool mini garden in the Japanese garden tradition. You can see it all from outside of it, but to actually go in you are supposed to pay a few bucks, and it's only open at really weird and specific times. It's worth doing once at least, but I wouldn't take small kids because it's not for playing and running, and as we all know small kids are annoying ????
If you want to do a photo shoot in the garden you have to pay extra and set it up ahead of time I believe. You can do a shoot outside of it but not in, without permission.
Love this environment at this location
I visited the morning we had frozen fog on all of the trees hoping to capture the garden with the beauty of winter. Regretfully the garden had been exposed to the sun too long already. Nonetheless the garden albeit closed for walking did offer some piece and relaxation just by being around it. During the open season that starts in May - the garden is a beautiful place to visit. Visiting hours are limited and you can actually see them in the bottom of one of the photos, however definitely worth scheduling your time around them. There is no charge to visit the garden however when you walk the grounds they do appreciate it a cheerful donation. Located in the fabyan forest preserve off of Route 31 there's ample space for picnicking fishing walking biking and if you go across the river there are more things to see including the windmill.
Very pretty, on the smaller side, beautiful to take pictures.
Such a cute and beautiful garden! It's small, so don't expect to be there long. If you stop to take pictures, take a look at the pond, etc. it might take you 10 minutes to see the whole thing. It's free but accepts $1 donations. Strollers aren't allowed; it makes sense as the path is narrow, but it stinks if you have a little one.
