“The young men in the store helped me pick out the new "off white" color for the walls of my house. I was given the 8 most popular "off white" paint chips and picked out a few more on my own. Took my paint chip stash home and taped the chips around the house to see what looked good next to all my oak trim. I selected Crisp Linen and had a quart of the color mixed up for me. Came home and painted Crisp Linen in different rooms next to and away from the oak trim. I had Alyssa Painting put two coats of Crisp Linen on all the interior walls of my house and the color looks fantastic. Crisp Linen has some amber in it and a lot of gold mixed into the base. Crisp Linen looks like French vanilla ice cream but can sometimes look white depending on the time of day and the sun. Crisp Linen warms up the tones of the oak trim, oak doors and oak stairways in my house. It blends seamlessly with ceiling white. If you have a house full of oak trim and doors the way I do then Crisp Linen is the color to use. Not too light and not too dark with NO grey undertones. Crisp Linen warms up the rooms throughout my house and goes well with the fabrics in each room. Creamy is the complimentary color to use if you have painted trim and doors. Both colors look good and blend well together. Thank you Sherwin Williams for the Crisp Linen color. It is a winner in my house. Thank you to the staff at this store in Aurora. The young men were very nice and helpful. Picking out a new paint color for your house interior can be confusing and a daunting task. “Okay.. How do I put this? Mike has an abundance of stuff. And you always need SOMETHING, whether it's handfuls of loose sockets. Or a 5 gallon jugs of Tide laundry detergent. Or car batteries. Or even a new mattress. He deals in everything. And it's hit or miss. Much of the inventory changes from day to day. He's also got a number of vehicles. As well as some trucks and heavy equipment. And the best part is that I think Mikey's prices are usually off the top of his head. And his numbers are very fair. The best deals around, really.. And the atmosphere?.. Haha If you let your guard down, you'll wind up sitting in one of the barber chairs along the wall, watching TV and eating cake and drinking coffee.. Schomer's is the best. I've been going there for years - most times I'm in town, in fact. I make a habit of it. I've bought a lot of second hand tools there. And seen things I've never seen anywhere else before. It's small. But it's a good source of a lot of odds and ends. He buys stuff too.. I recommend dropping in on your way home. Circle the store. At some point, you'll have to ask Mike, "How much?.. "”
