“Top quality training, great learning environment. My son and I started learning judo four months ago and I am very happy to have joined here. Before joining, I was in poor health after major surgery and since then, my fitness levels have increased greatly. Judo is like physical chess. It is important to consider the learning environment of a martial arts club. Barrington Judo Club's coaches are in their fifties and there are 6 or 7 black belts. Some of them have competed at the National levels in their countries (France, Mexico...). They are mature and have a fatherly attitude towards the students. Other martial arts clubs that have just one teacher can become abusive as he is all powerful. Some MMA/BJJ clubs have a tough guy attitude and the instructor injures his pupils to show his displeasure. I am glad Barrington Judo Club is not like those clubs. There are thankfully no contracts. Many other clubs require an annual contract. My son and I highly recommend this club for you to learn judo.”
