I know many folks complain about ComEd, however, I have had nothing but positive experiences with their service.
ComEd just completed a free Energy Efficiency Program audit of my home. The technician pointed out several things that I could do to reduce my monthly bill. He also changed all of the old incandescent light bulbs to LED bulbs and added an aerator to my utility sink faucet.
All of this was FREE. No charge for the audit and no charge for swapping out the bulbs. The technician polite and thorough.
I also find the ComEd outage map to be very helpful during a power outage.
🤠A lot of people hate ComEd! But when you plug in your appliance or flick your light switch, you expect the lights to come on and your blender to work. Or your electric range or your air conditioning or your furnace or your sump pump or your garage door opener or your hot water heater or your television or your oxygen generator or your specialty medical devices. No one gives a second thought to the men and women who never see their children grow up, out there in all sorts of weather working to keep the lights on. The fires in California, the hurricanes along the coasts, earthquakes, Midwestern tornadoes, the Puerto Rico disaster, ComEd was there helping people restore their lives. The lineman and others sacrifice their time with their family to do this important work. So when you publish a blanket statement, how much you hate the electric company, men and women die every year trying to keep your power on! These men and women are also first responders in local and national disasters, remember that and treat them as such.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
