This shrine is breathtaking, beautiful, and full of interesting relics and artwork. There are places to pray and reflect inside and outside. Outside they have Stations of the Cross, Rosary walk, and Infant of Prague statue. Inside main level is the church, side chapels, conference center, and the gift shop. They have perpetual Eucharistic Adoration which is a huge plus. Downstairs they have a unique collection of religious order dolls and an excellent exhibit on the holocaust and St. Maximilian Kolbe's life which includes a replica of his prison cell and an authentic first class relic. Since St. Maximilian Kolbe, like many of those killed in the holocaust, were burned after death, having a first class relic of him is very rare. This might be the only first class relic of him in the United States.
This church is such peaceful and amazing experience to pray
This place is heaven on earth! Its a mistake to come here for a quick visit if it’s your first time because you will cheat yourself!Spend a whole day or at least half a day exploring and taking in the beauty of this incredible shrine!
I have been making a private retreat at Marytown for years...I like it so very much! I love Adoration and all Marytown has to offer. This weekend I'll be with 4 other women for a retreat and I'm thrilled they will get to experience the peace, prayer time and rest. Thank you, Jesus, for this holy place.
