“I recently changed PCPs and Pulmonologists and am reminded over and over again just how rotten it is to be poor in America. But there are shining examples of people who are clearly compassionate and kind and love their work. Dedicated individuals working as healers who obviously care about their patients. Beth Ginsburg is one such person. I saw her only once between other Pulmonologists but she ranks very high from just that one visit. I can tell she is a shining example of what it means to be dedicated to her calling. How do I know this? Well, I am in my early 50's. I was once wealthy and now am not. I was once healthy and am now beset with chronic this and thats that get in the way of life in general. And as a matter of unfortunate course, I see more than my share of different kinds of doctors. While I do understand how doctors nowadays have very little time to spend with each patient, it is truly rare when someone takes the time. And if one thing that poverty has taught me is that people treat you very differently, when someone takes extra time and care for you, YOU NOTICE. I immediately noticed not only attention but care and compassion emanating from this woman. When something like that happens, you take notice. It is rare. And that person or physician stands out, becomes a beacon, a standard of comparison for every other doctor. Simply put, Dr. Beth Ginsburg is not only a fine Pulmonologist, but a truly kind person. 'First do not harm' and then 'second, heal thy patient.' She does both. She really is a rarity. I only wish I had the kind of insurance that allowed me to still be on the program she belongs to.”
