Dr. Joan is a miracle worker! A true expert. The best physical therapist, acupuncturist, myofascial therapist in the area. She takes an integrative approach to treatment; understands how the entire body works. Everything she does is w/the best intention specific to your condition. I just can't say enough good things about her! Truly amazing, highly knowledgeable and you can trust her. Her sessions are both calming and high impact in that you feel progress after each one and her recommendations are spot on. I'm forever grateful to Dr. Joan for helping improving my quality of life.

I’ve been going to East Meets West Therapeutics for foot and hip problems for the last few months. Both Joan and Sara are professional and knowledgeable. I was struggling with severe pain from plantar fasciitis and hip pains from long hours sitting at a desk for work. Sara’s treatment of my foot was so successful that I have been completely pain free for months. Through treatment and gentle exercise, my hip pains have abated. I also received acupuncture treatments from Joan, which I found to be gentle and helpful. I highly recommend Sara for her diagnostic abilities and professionalism in treating pain. My experience here has been amazing. I've been dealing with pain for 20+ years that I couldn't find consistent relief. Went to multiple chiropractors that tried different techniques and while would give some relief, it didn't last past a day or 2 from treatment received. The benefits I have received here have given me a much longer relief time frame to the point I was feeling like my old self again. I had basically given up figuring I'd be living with this pain for the rest of my life on a daily basis. I finally decided I was going to try accupuncture which led me to the PT of dry needling. I highly recommend. Even though it is out of my network for insurance, it has been well worth it!

Dr. Joan is an expert Acupuncturist, Physical Therapist, Myofascial Release therapist. With her calming demeanor and experience, she incorporates the 3 healing specialties in the treatments. After a severe auto accident, I went for 3 months of PT locally but still experienced neck, back and mobility issues even after taking different pain medications. Before going through any suggested surgery, my pain management doctor suggested acupuncture. My daughter-in-law knew of Dr. Joan and referred me to her and couldn't have made a better decision. I had to travel 50 miles round trip for treatments, but it was all worth the travel. Dr. Joan....you're the greatest! Thanks.

I have seen Dr. Joan for various health issues over the last 4 years. She has helped me with chronic back pain that no other physical therapist was able to treat. Her approach actually treated the root cause not just the symptoms and included healing my whole body. Her holistic approach resulted in changes to health issues I had not expected including getting pregnant naturally after years of infertility and greatly improving my thyroid function and I have not had a migraine in years!!! My son and husband have also been patients and have had great results with treatment.
