“I've been wanting to check out Nohadra Food Market for quite some time. Today I did. They are located in the strip mall in the southeastern corner of Washington & Milwaukee. They specialize in middle-eastern groceries. But it's not country-specific. I saw Coke and 7up from Bagdad (Iraq). Rice from Egypt. Tea from Morocco and Turkey. Coffee from Iraq, Syria, Greece, and Turkey. Sunflower seeds from Ukraine. I have no idea where the chips are from but the packages were outstanding. They have Assyrian style rolls, fresh Lebanese pita, and a flat bread from somewhere over there. Actually, I'm forgetting more than I'm remembering. Owners David and Fay were kind enough to show me around and told me the origin of all the wonderful things but this 59 year old mind forgot most. Stop by, try something new, tell your friends. If you're taking a stay-cation or if they still do show-n-tell this is a must-stop-shop.”
