  Mark and his crew did a great job transforming our fireplace. Mark was very knowledgeably and gave us sound design advice. They worked tirelessly, tidied up after themselves and were great to work with. We love our new wood burner. We would definitely recommend.

  Amazing Company, product and service! Purchased a Lopi Freedom wood burning insert from Grass Roots at least 17 years ago. We were so pleased with how helpful they were at that time. We had them install the fireplace insert and we used it every day in winter for years. When we relocated from Mchenry County to Kane county we had them remove the lopi and install it in our new place. Again, they were wonderful to work with. After 17 years we needed a few replacement parts and Mark in customer service listened to what I needed, gave me a fair and reasonable price, and even though it was obviously a busy time at the shop, made me feel understood and appreciated. This is "small business" at it's best. You will not be disappointed - come here for quality products, replacement parts at fair prices, and excellent & knowledgeable customer service

  Great company to do business with. The staff is very informative and very helpful. It was an absolute pleasure working with a local company deciding between a electric or wood burning fireplace insert all the way to customizing surround panels and facings. This establishment has IT ALL.
  
  My install was a bit tricky, but the installers were very honest, diligent, and professional. I would AND WILL recommend consulting with Grass Roots Energy to anyone looking to upgrade or evolve their heating systems. Thanks again for your expertise and quality workmanship.
