  I worked with Steve on buying a bike. Down to earth. He talked in a language I could understand seeing I'm not a motorcycle savvy person. Everyone is friendly, they treat you as family.

  Went here to buy a few Christmas presents for the wife. They had a great selection of clothing and was able to easily buy a few things. There pricing is typical of a Harley Davidson dealer. The staff was very friendly and helpful to me, they helped me find something specific I was looking for. Great place to hang out and checkout motorcycles and clothing.

  Though I do appreciate Starved Rock Harley Davidson helping me with some repairs on my 2006 Softail Deluxe, I am surprised at the quality of work performed by one of their master technicians. What would seem like a simple procedure.... to mount and balance tires has left me somewhat confused. When mounting the new “engraved whitewall” tire on the front wheel, the technician failed to remove the existing spoke weights before proceeding to balance the wheel. To balance the wheel, a total of 12 stick on .5 oz. weights were applied to the front wheel. The bike has HD Chrome 80 spoke wheels, and after calling several other Harley dealers I was informed by that the “chrome spoke weights” should be used to keep the aesthetics in line with the appearance of the wheel. The stick on weights are not meant to be used on this type of wheel, but used on mag type wheels. I called the service department and spoke with someone, trying to get this straightened out, as I am feeling rather disappointed. The response was not what I wanted to hear, service department said that they did not have spoke weights to fit my wheels and this is why they use the tape weights. This is even more confusing now because my front wheel still has spoke weights on it in addition to the 12 tape weights they applied. This the same dealership that installed and balanced these wheels using spoke weights when originally installed. ????
  
  October 28.... I did speak with Tim today (General Manager) and I will be taking the bike back to Starved Rock HD this Spring for them to re-balance the front wheel with "spoke weights" at no charge. Thanks Tim!
