Service pretty good. Wasn't to crazy about them charging me 60 bucks in labor for a 20 min job but they did good. Was in and out.
Zigs is always an awesome experience. The staff is always helpful and will answer your questions. The waiting room is clean and comfortable. They can do most major and minor repairs. They a tire facility as well. They can do it all
10 out of 5 stars! I left this place so inspired and touched! Zig's appears to be a very honorable business! Read my story!
Upon arrival, a kind woman at the office had a mechanic quickly dispatched to ride with me in my vehicle. Along the way, I described what symptoms to listen and look for.
Despite all the workload they have, he made it a point to take time and observe very carefully. He was respectful, patient, easy to speak to, and I asked him honestly if he felt it was significant enough symptoms to need investigation to which he replied in the affirmative. But I could tell he took the time to consider the question and not just say "Yes" for business sake.
Within maybe 15 minutes total, I had dropped off the vehicle, requested a ride home and was on my way with Zig himself at the wheel. He told me an inspiring story about how he had amassed a large following working many years as a mechanic for another shop. Once he left for another line of work, people kept seeking him out and letting him know if he obtained a shop they would bring all their vehicles to him. So he did.
Later that day, Zig gave me a call to explain the situation and my options. They could look into it further for more specifics, but it would require a bill to be made. He remembered what I told him of my intended cross country trip, and advised me I should be safe to do so, but that the vehicle would either need a replacement differential or work on the existing one which may end up being the same cost or more when all is said and done. There was ABSOLUTELY NO PRESSURE. I felt like I was part of a family that truly cared.
I asked him if I could call him back as I wanted to call my step-father, a mechanic of many, many years, to ask his opinion. Zig actually offered to speak with him directly if he wished! I soon decided to come pick up my vehicle.
Upon arrival, I noticed everyone was in a jovial mood, including Zig, who was speaking to what appeared to be another customer. He made time for me right away. After a brief talk and a firm handshake he said to me "There is no bill."
I was shocked. I expected at least $50-89 for the inspection. They looked into my brakes, wheels and differential afterall! More than once I then offered at least some payment--the experience itself was worth something! But he declined.
I felt overwhelmed with gratitude and goodwill, and assured him I would spread the word as I am now.
I am not telling you Zig doesn't bill. He has to support the fine men and women working for him as he does himself. But I am stating those at Zig's seem fair, honest, and sincere.
I have never felt better with my vehicle in someone's hands. Even if just a simple oil change might be cheaper at Walmart, I would still seek Zig's out. We must support those smaller businesses that support us!
Thank you everyone at Zig's!
I recently brought 2 vehicles in to be worked on at Zigs, well one on the back of Zigs tow truck. When you take your vehicle to a shop you are at the mercy of the auto shop to be honest and repair only what is needed.
One of the vehicles shifter lever was loose and I thought it would be a major repair but t was under $300. You can trust this shop to do what is needed or what you tell them to. Very friendly staff with professional mechanics that will take care of your vehicle.
I had to take my car to a hillbilly mechanic when i was in Branson, Mo. and they made it worse and now the car is up at Zigs being repaired correctly. If you want a dependable shop in the Marseilles area, go to Zigs.
