Blackbird is always an amazing time. The atmosphere is quaint, the staff is friendly, and the food is phenomenal! We come here every time we're in town visiting family. Can't be beat, HIGHLY recommend!!
Very friendly place with probably the best pain au chocolat I’ve had anywhere (including in Europe!). Croissants as they should be - fresh, crispy, crumbly and melt-in-the-mouth delicious 😋 Definitely well worth going out of your way for!!
We didn’t try the menu food but it all sounded delicious and the bread looked wonderful.
Mmmm 😋, succulent, heavenly bites… one after another.
The staff is attentive and provides a sincere smile, the barista is from Chicago. I wasn’t in the mood for more caffeine but the Coffee and Expresso section of the menu had everything you can hope for. AND, did I say they bake the bread here⁉️.
They got some really tempting cupcakes 🍰. I loved the spot. So good….
I felt back in New York for a few minutes.

WHAT A DEAL!
For a small town bakery, I was blown away. I would be hard pressed to pick a favorite, but if you twist my arm, I'll say, Apple Fritter. That is if you're talking about their pastries. Otherwise, I'll choose the Avocado Toast. The toast looked so good, I dove into it and forgot to take a picture, it was that yummy.
What really surprised me and delighted me to no end, is the fact that they offer booze. I'm retired so a breakfast out is always like a weekend brunch. I love a Bloody Mary and my cousin likes a Mimosa and they were able to satisfy each of our preferences. Their bar is limited, but the beers they offer are local craft beers. Love it when local supports local.
Their chicken salad is killer and and once you've tried it, you'll be buying a container to take home. I like grapes in my chick salad and this one also has candied pecans. OMG, those two extra ingredients made my taste buds sing.
The kitchen is in full view of the dining area, so you can see them creating their magic. You can also see how clean and will organized their work space is.
Customer Service is outstanding. It's small town hospitality - the staff was witty and fun to banter with. Blackbird is about a half hour drive from my house. It's not a drive I want to make on the regular, but it is a drive definitely worth a special treat.
This is just a comforting place to be. They have the best food. I highly recommend the broccoli cheese soup but honestly you cannot go wrong with any of the food here. The sweet treats are always amazing too. This is a must try !
