Thankful I have found this facility! It’s clean, welcoming, and fun. The residents are always enjoying the fun activities offered. The staff is energetic and friendly. I highly recommend Elmwood.
Clean facility, fun activities, and friendly staff.
I didn't know where my mom was going to go after she was discharged from her 2nd hospital stay & 2nd nursing home/rehab due to COVID-19. After the 1st experience with Bria of Belleville I was so scared, as they were horrible.. I was told that Elmwood had a new DON and a lot of new employees and staff that were trying to "turn the place around." So I went with it. Theresa from Admissions called me and explained every step that we'd go through. She was amazing! That was over a month ago. They have been wonderful to my mom. They have treated her with integrity, kindness, dignity, and respect. Brandi, the new DON goes above and beyond and works the halls as an aid or nurse, or whatever they need. She's not just a 9-5 administrator. She gets in there and gets her hands dirty with everyone and at the same time will gently brush my Mother's hair... She's just amazing. I know I'll forget some names as most everyone there has really, really been good to my mom... Carla (Administrator), Jennifer (CNA supervisor), Julie (nurse), Heather (nurse), Stacy & Meaghan (Therapists), Carlton (he is # 1 CNA to mom! She loves him and says, "he'll make a good doctor some day!"), Angela (CNA)... I am sorry if I forgot to mention your name, I will!- You've all been So wonderful to my only Momma..! ♡ They make all their own food on site so it's 'much better than anywhere else' she's been. They answer the call light pretty fast. I've talked to Administrators all hours of the day and night. In fact Brandi was passing meds on Christmas Eve when we went to "window visit" dressed as an Elf! They are always there to either give you an answer or they will find one. They ANSWER the phone, Always. And they take the time to talk to my mom... it gets pretty lonely in there, even with "window visits." So, so far, so great! I'll be back to update! In Health, Beth~
