“For someone who has traveled around in search of some answers, I found this place extremely helpful. I received a neuropsychological evaluation to confirm a previous diagnosis from a psychiatrist that I did not feel took the time to understand/evaluate my condition. The great thing that many people don't understand is that neuropsychologists aren't just for memory care (although that is a main part of their study) but they bridge that gap between neurology and psychology which, for many, can be a very useful evaluation. They cater to individuals of all ages concerned with anything from an undiagnosed anxiety disorder to Alzheimers, autism, ADHD, and everything inbetween, that a certain specialist might overlook if out of their realm. When first scheduling I felt as though I understood what to expect right away and electronically received paperwork to save me the time of writing it in office. Within a couple days their billing dept had already reviewed my insurance and informed me of the charges so there were no hidden insurance costs or surprises by the time my appt came around. Very few offices seem to be prepared in this manner, which I REALLY appreciated, especially being on a budget. When I arrived for my initial evaluation I was nervous but the doctor I met with explained the entire process to me before diving in so I felt more comfortable. I actually kind of enjoyed all the interesting testing that was done. It is a lengthy process but they provide lunch for you from wherever you would like which is also really cool. They take aspects of your past and current situations and interpret it alongside your neurological testing. I went back for my results about a week later and was sent home with a very thorough write-up stating everything we discussed at my feedback. I finally felt like I understood what was going on with me and my doctor suggested different ways for me to cope/recover. They even offer those services in their practice, which is super convenient. Totally worth the experience. I also felt encouraged to follow up with any future questions/needs I might have regarding the evaluation. Very satisfied.”

After being dumped by my previous psychiatrist because my private insurance had run out and I was now on Medicare, Dr. Parks took over. This former psychiatrist had led me to believe I was a victim of sustained and vicious child abuse; and I was estranged from my family at his insistence. I was in a very vulnerable position. No longer did Dr. Parks search for unsubstantiated instances of child abuse. Instead the focus centered on the here and now. I happily reconnected with my family and once again became a functional adult. “My 5 year old daughter struggled with her letters and sounding them out. Her confidence was really low. She was more frustrated at home with me and I knew I needed to find someone else she could work with. We worked with Mrs. Kate, she was wonderful. She knew right away what my daughter needed. Kindergarten was fast approaching and my daughters confidence grew each visit with Mrs. Kate. I am proud to say now we are halfway through the school year and my daughter is doing great. During the time at Grow Pediatrics therapies, I watched kids coming and going for their appointments, everyone was happy enthusiastic. It's a great place to go if you wanna get the help our kids deserve. ALSO, at Christmas they have a Santa come in to spend time with each child. If I remember correctly it was a sensory friendly Santa visit. A child came in after my kids, that child had never sat on Santa's lap. Before I could get my kids moving and out of the office, he was on Santa's lap.”
