Freedom Lake

Freedom lake is most def one of the best camp grounds me and my fiance has ever stayed at we been here for couple months now and absolutely love it. The man that owns it and runs it is a very kind hearted person and true to help everyone if he can. The place is quite peaceful and people that stay here keep to them selves. Like I said I'm glad to be out here and dont plan on leaving here for awhile. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone.

A quaint and quiet RV campground with plenty of trees and a couple of small lakes. Conveniently located between Waterloo and Redbud, we found plenty of thrift stores and non-franchise restaurants. We are hoping for a return campout

We have stayed at Freedom Lake RV Park for almost a year. We have a large fifth wheel and our site was more than big enough for our rv and two vehicles. It had been very quiet here great scenery. Just far enough away from the big city but not too far. Butch was a great host. Always asking if we needed anything, even loaned us a heated hose to use all winter at no extra cost. We will definitely stay here again. Never saw any dogs or other animals running around. The park was very well kept up. Butch even delivered our mail and packages right to our door.

Perfect destination to get away from the city. I suspect the last poster (who keeps deleting and reposting his comment) is a disgruntled ex-customer. We've been here before and spent 4 days this weekend. Saw nothing of snarling dogs, collapsing trailers....not sure what he was on about. Butch was busy all day every day(mowing, taking out dead trees) and even took the time to help us back in. Absolutely gorgeous weekend.
