  I came to Studio Garuda with 20 years of training in the martial arts. On my first day one of the people that had been around awhile said that "A lot of martial arts talk about being able to do amazing things. In Kuntao Silat those amazing things are possible." That statement is so true. Kuntao Silat training is unique, amazing, and FUN! It has absolutely made me a better person.
  
  Guru Joe is an unending fountain of knowledge, an amazing coach, and a great all around guy. Missing out on training with him is to miss a huge opportunity

  You've tried the rest now try the best! The arts taught at S.G. are built from natural non-complex movements that can be adopted by persons of any stature. Simple and elegant in their beginnings, look into the depths of these arts and you will find infinite possibility.

  Instruction from Guru Joe will be well worth your time. I have not been this excited to practice the martial arts since I started back in 1980. The difference this time around is that I have experienced different types of martial arts as a comparison/contrast. What Joe has to offer is very practical and efficient. It is one thing to be good at something but quite another to be able to teach it to people with different abilities. Joe is an expert in the martial arts, a great teacher, intellectual, a good family man, well connected in the martial arts community, and has a great sense of humor. If you want a real martial art expert who understands what works and what does not then look no further. You found your man.

  I have been to many martial art studios and dojos. I can say in all sincerity, that I have never come across anything, that even comes close, to the quality of instruction that I have received at Studio Garuda. The art itself has so much depth that taking part in it, is like jumping head first into the ocean of all martial arts knowledge. I gurantee anyone and I mean anyone can benefit in some way, shape, or form from practicing at Studio Garuda. My life has been enriched on so many levels and I am grateful having the opportunity to practice with my martial family at Studio Garuda.
