“After reading local reviews, I had Pete's Carpet Company install two rooms of carpet in the upstairs bedrooms. Pete and his wife are very professional. Pete came to the house and showed me samples along with measuring the rooms. I met Pete's wife Delia at the showroom leaving a deposit and scheduling a installation date. The carpets were installed on time, at a fair price, and the two guys that installed the carpets worked meticulously. I highly recommend this company! One year later... “Brady and Brady Jr. arrived on time to unclog our 2nd floor toilet. They were called due to several unsuccessful attempts on our part. It was unclogged in minutes. While doing a couple of "test" flushes they discovered something in the tank was not working properly upon refill. We'd known for some time there was a problem in the tank, but didn't know what part was malfunctioning, and since money is a little short these days, my main concern during their visit was to get the clog removed and deal with the "bad part" at another time. They offered to repair the toilet, but there'd be an extra cost. I had to decline due to our shortage of funds. They went out to their van to write up the bill, but Brady Sr. came back in and asked to look at the toilet again. As it turned out, there was a hose in the way of the arm, and the flap was old and worn out, and not closing. They moved the hose, and replaced the old flap with a new one. The toilet works perfectly again, and I wasn't charged extra for the repair, for which, I am VERY grateful. Both men were personable, friendly, very professional, and worked efficiently. The boss should be proud. I would call them again in a heartbeat. Thank you so very much.”

“Whitmore has really turned this place around. I hated shopping at this Ace because there was rarely someone to help and when there was they were not friendly. The opposite is the case after my recent experience. I was at the currency exchange and needed two items from the hardware store. Rather than drive to Lowe's, I went into Ace. They was immediately someone to help. They would've got five stars but we're sold out of the Christmas lights I wanted. They did arrange for my items to be at the counter in their Manhattan store however.”
