He was not pushy with services offered, didn’t impose any sense of urgency for decision making, and fielded all of our questions patiently. Melissa, was very steadfast and polite with emails. The rest of the staff were just an ear shot away if needed anything and made sure the immediate had plenty of time to grieve. “Obviously when we are going through the loss of a loved one, the LAST thing we should have to deal with or worry about is dealing with shady or incompetent people at the funeral home. The guys at Maher funeral home did such an amazing job helping our grieving family through the entire process and helped us organize a moving and truly classic wake, service and tribute that was so beautiful I know my Mom was looking down from heaven with a smile on her face. They were professional, caring and went above and beyond from beginning to end. Very reasonable cost and even added beautiful extra flowers that we didn't ask for at their own expense. They made this experience as easy and comforting as possible and really helped our family feel like we did our very best memorializing our loved one.”

“In the past 3 months our sweet boy Smokey (rabbit) and our baby boy Charlie (dog) became terminally ill. The past week has been unbearable. We spoke to Ben in the early hours of a Saturday morning and he met us at Gent. Actually he waited for us. He was kind and gave us time to grieve. This funeral home was also used by a dear friend's family when he passed a few years ago. They cremated these very special loved ones and handled all arrangements in the most kind, heartfelt and respectful way. We appreciate their service. We would like to never call upon them again, but in a time of inevitable sorrow there is no other place we would go.
