“Before I arrived to Dr. Amanda Patch’s facility on 2/24/2023, I had gotten into what I believe was a bad confrontation with maintenance from my apartment complex over my housekeeping skills (which was harshly criticized due to being in a lot of physical back pain following injuries I sustained on my moving night) and thank goodness that it was purely coincidental that I had my very first appointment with Dr. Patch. Nearly two hours after that confrontation and while being on the Uber ride to the facility, I felt a sharp pain or sensation on my right foot as well as my lower back. As I was checking in, I did request a wheelchair due to the severe pain I had. Thankfully, with my daughter-in-law, Dr. Jenna (Atkins) Zinn, MD, DVM (who became a doctor and veterinarian in January 2023 at age 24), Dr Patch and I had a damn good discussion about the care that I received and picking up where Dr. Kanika Jaggi of another hospital network on 2/20/2023, as well as the fact and effectively confirmed the diagnosis of being on my way to Type II diabetes as the back injury I sustained on 11/1/2022 was in fact caused by diabetic nerve pain. That being said, I did get what I needed was that doctors note confirming, or should I say mandating yours truly to be on the ground floor. Thank you, Dr. Amanda Patch and even though it is considered to be a perceived conflict of interest ethically, I am also saying thank you to my daughter-in-law, Dr. Jenna Zinn.”

“I can’t say enough about Heritage Pointe! My parents initially moved in to one of the houses around a pond and they loved it. As the years passed, my mother moved into memory care, and my father died. My mother is so loved and so well taken care of at Heritage Pointe, that I cannot believe it! I have never experienced a nursing facility as wonderful as this one. The staff at every level are compassionate and interactive with the residents. They have fun activities from morning until evening, so that the residents are not bored or lonely. I visit frequently, and I actually look forward to every visit because I enjoy the staff so much! By the way, the food is phenomenal, and is prepared in a scratch kitchen, which is unheard of in this type of setting. Also if a resident doesn’t want what is on the menu, there is a huge alternative menu to choose from. Entering the main building, you feel like you are going into a resort rather than a nursing facility. It really is quite phenomenal-to say I love Heritage Pointe is an understatement!”

You can find any and almost everything here from home decors, to party supplies, to snacks.. all for a $1. I’m also very appreciative that the store is usually clean/organized. “I was looking for a new church to belong to thats close to my home. Services are outside throughout the summer which I love that idea. I was excited. I went at 9 but was told services was at 10. So that did give me the opportunity to bring my lawn chair when I came back. I was welcomed by 1 person. Thats it. It started to rain lightly so they stopped to put all the music equipment in the church, so there was lots of "down time" everyone socializeing. NOT A SINGLE PERSON welcomed me. Not even the minister after the service. I think that is very sad. I was very disappointed. I didn't find any info on line about time of service or that its outside so that people have the opportunity to bring a chair or blankets. That was my experience. I was so disappointed. A church should be very welcoming to new visitors, make them feel welcome and comfortable. Anyhow the next week I went to grace christian . 15 people welcomed me. Made conversation and made me feel very comfortable. I continue to go there.”
