The Pepin Mansion Historic Bed & Breakfast

If I could give this hotel more than 5 stars I would. I stayed in the mansion a week ago. The house and rooms were spotless, and extremely well maintained. Everything is exactly as you see in the pictures! Great location, very safe neighborhood. Our hosts were the best! They addressed all of our questions and recommended me and my mom a restaurant nearby for dinner, it was great! The next morning we stayed for breakfast and it was amazing. Great attention to detail. When I am back in town I will for sure stay here again. Thank you!

If you ever wanted to find out what it was like to live like royalty, a steel baron or a railroad tycoon, this is the place for you. Our jaw dropped with amazement when we entered our room. Not only was this place one of the best places to stay, it was very affordable. The breakfast and service was 5-star. It was also a treat to explore the mansion, a place as big as My Old Kentucky Home. Go up to the widow's tower and look over the Ohio River in the distance. Play a game of cards in the common room. An historical mansion, the Pepin B&B exceeded my expectations. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars, is that around 7:20pm, someone tried to get into my room using a key without success, then used it on the adjoining room door and without knocking, ENTERED MY ROOM. she was looking for her phone charger. I was like.... uh okay... but ... how did this happen? I'm a badass so I'm not scared or anything. I was put off because this random person who did not work there had entered my room without knocking!
This probably will not happen to you, and I am still confused but you'll be okay.

Otherwise, breakfast was smashing and I slept very well. This place is a gem. Thank you, Sharon!

A wonderful B&B, and a wonderful experience! The staff was charming and very attentive. The breakfast was amazing as well! When I first booked the night, I had made a mistake, and booked for the wrong day, however the staff was kind and understanding on the phone and changed my booking easily. If you do plan on having breakfast, please make the staff aware of any allergies in advance. He is willing to make those changes, but they cook the 3 course meal in advance and he got quite grumpy when another guest announced his dairy allergy just after the food was placed on the table before him. Another thing to be aware of (although there's no helping it, and it didn't bother us) there are quite a bit of stairs in the house, just like all old houses. Everything was neat, clean and well taken care of, but you should be aware that stairs come with the charm of the house. Room 3, where we stayed, had a staircase of 5 or 6 steps separating the room from the bathroom. Since the house is beautiful and old, each bathroom has to be added after the house was built and repurposed as a B&B, but that is one thing I would have liked to know before going. I loved the house and the experience, but I probably would have asked for a different room. It was never any problem, but being pregnant, it made me a little nervous when I got up late at night.
