The atmosphere of this place is phenomenal! Wildlife everywhere as soon as you enter. The most beautiful starlit sky nights. Quiet and homely. All the workers have a good character. Extremely friendly outgoing willing to talk and help with anything they can. This place is a definite must-see for everyone!

We camped in June 2021. A lot of privacy for the campsites. One shower house didn't have running water at the time. The beach was nice except for the trash left behind from picnickers. The camp store is uniquely placed on a dock with a steep drive to it. Nice area to explore.

On the way back home to the Indianapolis area from a state park even further north, I primarily stopped here to check out the mountain biking trails I had read about. I wasn't sure exactly what to expect, but didn't have the highest expectations compared to my normal riding locations of Town Run Trail Park or Brown County State Park. However, I was very pleasantly surprised with the Kintionki trail. It's not the longest at around only 4 miles, but it had plenty of features for intermediate and advanced riders alike, which some fun berms, steep down and ups, log ramps, and overall just great use the limited topography that they had to work with. While here, I also noticed they had a disc golf course, so I made sure to check that out as well since I had brought my disc set with me. It's only a 9 hole course with gravel tees and relatively short holes, but it was a fun additional activity to do if already there (I wouldn't make the drive if my only goal was looking for a disc golf course).
