No one in that place not the Dr. not any nurse or any counselor can tell you you have to stay on methadone again it's the individuals choice. The plan is to get on a sufficient dose that lasts 24 hrs so people are able to work and function in their daily lives. Then slowly decrease their dose week by week to bypass the withdrawal symptoms and get back to living life without chemical dependency. Hopefully while working the program they take in as much information they can from the counselor's to stay off there drug of choice”
