“Nice neighborhood park. Clean and has a circle bike trail to ride. All were you can see your kids at all times!”

“Well maintained with good equipment. Nice rubber padding under the playsets. There is also a toddler play structure and a big kids play structure. Baby swings, regular swings, and a chair swing. Centrally located benches and drinking fountains as well as building bathrooms nearby. Sand volleyball court gets a lot of use in the summer with leagues but sometimes flooded after heavy rain. Lots of green space as well as a basketball court and covered picnic table structure. Biggest drawback is lack of shade. Many trees have been removed over the years and the sitting benches in the playground desperately need shade. Trash cans on the playground and near the structures also tend to attract bees, so be careful. Overall, one of our favorite parks, but the addition of shade on the playground would move this review to 5 stars instead of 4.”

“I am really glad the parks department updated the playground equipment. For a long time, we would not visit this park. We recently moved, and we decided to see if any changes had been made. We were pleasantly surprised to see new playground equipment and other various upgrades. I now bring my daughter frequently to this park to play.”

“A small park good for young children up to age 8 or so. Wonderful neighborhood. They took the basketball hoops down a few years ago. Small grassy area near a marshy pond could be dangerous for young children. Not suitable for sports activities.”

“For those who play, there are 2 pokestops at this park. Otherwise, it's a small, but peaceful park”

“Beautiful family neighborhood park. Used by many for little kids to play or sports teams to practice. Any homeowner would be proud to have Pennsy Park in their neighborhood.”

“A nature preserve that is cared for! It surrounds a wetland lake. Wildlife seem to enjoy this sanctuary preserved between farmland, suburban houses, Turkey Creek and the Erie Lackawanna trail.”

“The weekly Thursday fair was really nice! The children attending loved the bouncy gyms! The craft booths offered interesting items for sale. The food booths and trucks also offered refreshing foods and beverages, at reasonable prices. For those who are health conscious, they have pedal floating bikes, that are $5.00, for every 15 minutes on the water. There was an excellent live band playing at the pavillion, and many neighbors were out on the lawn relaxing in chairs, and on blankets enjoying the free entertainment. Later in the evening, a movie was shown. I was impressed by this Hobart Parks Department Neighborhood Festival. I plan to attend more before the summer winds down!”

“I am always surprised by how few people use this park. If you want a park virtually all to yourself during the week this place is it. The dog park is well maintained and new items have been added recently. The park is also conveniently located near the walking trail so you can park and walk.”
